About JUTTA SCHOTT
Jutta Schott, Reitlehrer FN (certified in 1981), has been coming to the Lodi area on a regular basis since 1986. Jutta is equally at home with the rider who wants to compete or with the rider who simply wants to ride well. She comes well credentialed and well qualified. Jutta has been a professional rider since 1968. She received her training in Germany and is licensed by the German National Equestrian Federation to teach and train both horse and rider at all levels, including FEI. She also spent 7 years as assistant trainer at the stable of Arthur Kottas, Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Her duties included lunging students of the Spanish Riding School on a daily basis and working with Arthur Kottas’s young horses and students.
Jutta’s training methods are true classical dressage. She formulates a systematic instruction plan for each of her students and the horses they ride. Ever aware that only a good seat correctly influences the horse, Jutta works on seat correction and how to apply the aids. She welcomes lower level riders and their horses, as this gives her the opportunity to begin the development of correct basics, without which there is no supple and free upper level work. Her teaching is based on the now well-publicized training scale consisting of rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightening and collection. This training scale is the basis of the USDF instructor training program and is also taught by Conrad Schumacher.
Because of her extensive background in training, this is an excellent educational opportunity for riders of any level and horses of any level or breed.
