Dec 11th Patch the stables lovable Queensland blue heeler was put to rest today. He will be missed by us and many others
Nove 18th Josh arrived from Oakland today to join his buddy Braggers.
Nove 14th Tristen, Elka's young 2yr old filly, protested about a kid needing space was moved out to pasture
Nove 11th One friend who we will miss left today, Di and Cole we wish them well and maybe one day they will return
Nove 10th An old friend of ours returned to Mar Val after some fifteen years. I remember him as Braggers a rather large appy. Karla his owner is a resident of Alameda
Nove 8th Finally rain, the first since last May 24th. Maybe I am going nuts but it seemed to me that all the horses were showing a little grin today
Oct 19th Thrill arrived from Oregon this evening a young paint who is cared for by Sonya who has waited for a year to move into Mar Val
Oct 8th Nikki and C.E left for New Mexico to join Amelia who arrived last Wednesday
Sept 16th Belle, a paint mare arrived to the delight of her young owner, Lauren
Sept 15th Kristen lee arrived with her mare Donya. Donya has come all the way from Las Vegas, I hope she enjoys the cooler weather here
Sept 8th Magen moved their third horse, Cruise out to their new home. we will miss Steve and Magen
Sept 8th Jocelyn bought a new horse called James Dean! a 7yr white Arab gelding
Sept 8th Red left for his retirement home. A well deserved rest for a wonderful horse

Sept 7th Lady arrived home after weaning her foal. It was good to Jim and Ann riding together again
Sept 7th Stitches and Jesse left for their new home that Steve and Magen have bought for them
August 29th Susana Girard arrived with her gelding Streets. Susana is looking forward to riding dressage with him.
August 29th Kay Smith arrived with her two horses, from Sacramento. A TB mare Sweet Cyn and a TB gelding Remi Kay loves to do dressage
August 3rd A chestnut mare called Annie dragged and pulled her owner Lauren into Mar Val after hearing some horse talk about the stables, plus its a lot closer to her owner.
July 18th Encore arrived, a grey TB gelding. Kelly his owner is now working at West 12 with the young thoroughbreds
July 13th Megan and Steve Ehlers bought a bay gelding in a auction today is name is Cruise
July 2nd Mia left our barn with New York Citi and newly purchased Rappy to Liz Jenner's for a period of training. I know one day Mia will be back ,we will miss her
June 22nd We celebrated the new fully working lights on our main barn, barbeque great food and people where riding til 11O'clock!
June 21st Donnie left for a new home which means we will no longer see Katie as she has purchased a jumper which is with the trainer. Good luck to Katie
June 20th A horse named Doc ( not practicing) arrived with his owner Mark James
June 15th Bull, a rather large thoroughbred gelding moved into the barn. Jennifer, his owner was very happy at how quickly he settled in
May 26th Lady and her foal left today to be with other young ones so the foal can play . Lady will be back in the fall after weaning the foal.
May 25th A successful playday with Purina Mills and Robinsons Feeds Stores giving away many prizes. The day included many events, of which many seem to enjoy the trail course that ran around the stables.
May 18th Jack Tanenbaum from Anderson Cal. moved in with his two geldings Cezanne and Whin
May 15th The new arena lights are erected at Mar Val............................
May 5th Dressage show at the stables. Three of our clients did well this day. Louise on Killian won her class on her first ride in her first show with Killian scoring a 62.632%. Jeannine Groh won her class on Joyce's Khalaharie scoring 67.727. Sherri LaFoon entered Daniel in his first show and had a second place on her first ride scoring 61.364
April 23rd At 2am this morning Ann and Jim's mare, lady foaled a filly
April 16th Jayne is back with her two steeds Etask and Doby
March 31st Anew client Jessica with her grey mare Dancer arrived in the barn
March 16th Gail loaded up her 3 horses and moved to her new ranch near Wallace just east of Clements. We all wish her the best in her new adventure
March 4th Victor took his owner ,Monica back to Reno to a new home and job Good luck to both of them . There will be several people here at Mar Val that will miss Monica
March 2nd A paint mare called Lacey arrived today with her owner Sandy, who was glad to finally be here after waiting several months for a spot to open up
February 26th Crimson left Mar Val for the sunny climate of Tucson Arizona
February 24th The Barn had its first Sunday brunch potluck and by all accounts everyone wishes to do it again
February 6th The confirmed news is that Lodi's local feed store Robinsons, currently located on Lodi Ave, will be moving to a new location at the old Fisco's store on Victor Rd Lodi . The move is scheduled sometime in March.
January 19th Two new arrivals today, the first one, Scotty, was unsure about the move as he seemed quite happy staying in the trailer, but after being explained about the food and company that one could find at Mar Val , he decided to come on out. Our second arrival , Rhapsody was a little uncertain about leaving her old digs ( she also requested a trailer with a ramp), plus she said she preferred the old digs as they fed alfalfa twice a day.
Jan 5th 2002 Ali arrived from Oregon for the sunnier climate here at Mar Val ( he was very upset to find that it rained here too so much so he rearranged the bedding in his stall and protested by screaming whenever someone would walk into the barn)
